Clear Cedar Adirondack Chair
Clear Cedar Adirondack Chair
-The logs sourced for this premium tight-grain lumber come from Old Growth Western Red Cedar, which is becoming increasingly scarce and hard to find. When it comes to lumber and wooden furniture, you truly get what you pay for; the less expensive options simply cannot match the quality, and there’s a clear reason for the lower price.
-I utilize top-grade, quarter-sawn vertical grain, clear lumber for crafting these chairs, making each piece truly unique and expensive to produce.
-This kiln dried lumber means that the wood has been heated and dried using a specialized lumber kiln to bring its moisture content down to very low level. Much lower than big box stores sell their lumber at. This ensures the lumber is more stable and durable
-'Clear' lumber means that there are no knots anywhere in the wood and cedar is the perfect wood for outdoor furniture; light and highly resistant to decay
-Starting with full one inch thick rough cut wood, I end up with the thickest possible end product after planing and sanding. Cheaper chairs will often be made with thinner lumber to stretch their materials
-Oversize 7 inch wide arms and dual cross braces make the chair very sturdy, and included is stainless steel fasteners throughout
-Completely plastic free packaging; I use satchels of fragrant cedar chips for filler & everything in the shipping box is reusable or 100% recyclable cardboard & paper
-Varied & unique color patterns and grain, no two chairs are the same
-Using powered tools, all shaping is done by hand in very small batches, utilizing the 'quality over quantity' approach. I am frequently sold out during the busy Spring/Summer months but am continually making products so it is generally not very long before I will have more in stock
